I like to think that even though the daughter came back as a wolf her mom didn’t pressure her to being a wolf all the time like when she didn’t pressure her to become a wolf. She may have healed from her trauma but she may not want to be a wolf all the time. I hope they still stayed by their house since it’s deep in the woods so that way if she wants to change back to a human she can just go to the house & change there & she’ll have clothes ready for her. If she wants to be a wolf with them they can stay in the area near the house. I know her mom would still be patient with her & letting her take baby steps bc she only knows her life as a human; being a wolf is a strange & new & scary experience for her

Its been awhile since I watched this so when I came across it again, I showed it to my mom who had a life this for a long time and she cried as she's finally free now. She's said this was exactly what it was like to live trapped with an abusive person and having to protect your kids😢

I love everything about this. How it's a symbol and an awareness for abuse, how the wedding ring is silver which is toxic for werewolves, everything.

This reminds me of an Ursula K. LeGuin short story. Instead of human to wolf, it was wolf to human!

The way the daughter even carries the flower her father gave her mother in her bag. It's her literal baggage. 🥺 And how she doesn't include herself in her painting of her family... Beautiful and sad but true at the same time. Never trap a she-wolf, werewolf, demoness, or hellhound just for her body. Instead when you find her, love her for who she is. At the same time, don't take the woman you have for granted, abusive like that terrible hunter who trapped the mother for his own selfish and evil reasons. Controlling them to suppress their wolf forms and with abuse until at last she attacked him, the ring the symbol of his toxic authority slipping off showing he no longer had control. Though he should have been slain, it shows why the respect needed for our loved ones, even those from series, can still be applied and how we view them reflects who we are. Tbh, while the eldest couldn't go back at the time, the younger ones did, though luckily in the creidts, the eldest did.

I think in the vegan when he shows her affection it may simbolize push and pull manipulation, when you show someone constant affection and love then take it away causing them to chase after you seeking that affection and it is a a way to manipulate people into falling in love with you

I found this video a loooong time ago, but I still come back to it often and it makes me cry every time I watch it. One of my favorite parts of this is the fact that the wolf part of the main character-the part that represents them and their desires- manifests itself through claws on the main characters hands, very fitting as they express themselves through drawing. Love the animation, facial expressions, everything <3

Incredible, nothing to add, except my love for the effect put into the color black, magnificent.

You can see at the bus scene that there is a leaf in her bag. I think its could be a sign of her still dealing with her abusive father but im so happy to see her going back to them in the credits. I had to face abuse this year too and i watched this video for so many times and now i come back in hopes it will help me overcome it. I was a silent watcher so far but now i want to say thank you for making this video. It really helps alot to understand, to sympathise and to show & teach empathy for the mother and her children

Well, that was beautiful but horrifying

I can't stop tearing up every time when the daughter learns her mother is a werewolf and runs off afraid, confused, completely overwhelmed and questioning her whole life. But her mother comes to comfort her, like she's saying, "No matter what form I take, I'm still your mother. And I'm glad you're okay." And the daughter hugs her back, "I'm glad you're okay too, Mom." And at the end when she embraces her whole family. Her mother, and her little brothers. They don't want her to go, but they understand this is something she needs to do to understand herself. The daughter looks back over to see them watching her board the bus, as if to say, "We'll always be here waiting for you when you come home." I also come from a bad home life, but it didn't play out with a happy ending between me and my mom like it did in this short story. She didn't come to my defense when I needed her.

И я сделала вывод ещё раз: женщина может вытерпеть всё, но когда дело касается её детей, то зверь в ней, готовый защищать ценой собственной жизни, просыпается мнгновенно.

The fact that the oldest daughter, after being given time to process and heal over what happened, was finally able to embrace herself and return to her mother and siblings as a wolf instead of being stuck as a human for the rest of her life. It's a great way to symbolize that no matter how traumatic and painful your experiences in life have been, it's always possible for you to find healing and discover yourself again, and embrace it

The theme isn't the same but it still reminds me of a short story titled "Gabriel-Ernest" by Hector H Munro (pen name Saki) about a boy in the woods who turns into a wolf every sundown. Munro had an unusually cruel sense of humor in a lot of his stories, and this one ended pretty horribly. Don't know why I was reminded of it other than wolves in the subject matter; this video was made by a person with a much kinder vision than Munro's.
